Confusable Words.

       1. Affect/Effect

          Affect का प्रयोग “प्रभाव” के अर्थ में किया जाता है

          Effect का प्रयोग “परिणाम” के अर्थ में किया जाता है

          Eg.

               1. Drinking will affect his health.

               2. What will be the effect of the action?

       2. Accident/Incident

           Accident – का प्रयोग “tragedy” या “adversity” के लिए किया जाता है

           Incident – का प्रयोग “मामूली घटना “ के लिए किया जाता है

              Eg.

                  1. Sudhir died in a bus accident.

                  2. The people read incident in newspaper.

      3. Adjacent/Adjoining

          Adjacent – का प्रयोग “एक के बाद दूसरा (next to )” के अर्थ में किया जाता है

          Adjoining – का प्रयोग “एक-दुसरे से अन्योंयास्रित” के अर्थ में किया जाता है

             Eg. 

                  1. The room was adjacent to the hall.

                  2.  The two parties were adjoining each other.  

  

       4. Abuse/Misuse

           Abuse – का प्रयोग “गलत ढंग से इस्तेमाल” के अर्थ में किया जाता है,

           Misuse – का प्रयोग “सही ढंग से इस्तेमाल न कर पाने” के अर्थ में किया जाता है

           Eg.

                1. Our Government is abusing its power.

                2. Chauhan misuse his money.

         5. Ascetic/Aesthetic

             Ascetic – का प्रयोग “सयंमित हा कठोर जीवन-यापन” के लिए किया जाता है

             Aesthetic – का प्रयोग “beauty” के अर्थ में किया जाता है

             Eg.

                  1. The life Style of a Saint is ascetic.

                  2. His son’s face looks asthetic.

         6. Adopt/Adapt

             Adopt – का प्रयोग “adjust” या “suitable” के अर्थ में किया जाता है

             Adapt – का प्रयोग “Choice”, “need” या “situation” के अर्थो में किया जाता है

             Eg.

                  1. Madhava did not adopt in new society.

                  2. Ajay has adapted the right path.

        7. Accept/Except

            Accept – का प्रयोग “प्राप्त करने” के आर्थ में किया जाता है

            Except – का प्रयोग “छोडकर” के अर्थ में किया जाता है

            Eg.

                  1. Neha accepted the offer.

                  2. All come, except Ashok.

       

         8. Amateur/Novice

             Amateur – व्यक्ति किसी “कला या कार्य” को अपनी “hobby”  के रूप में करता है

             Novice – व्यक्ति एक “beginner” होता है

             Eg.

                  1. Deepak does not take any charge because he is amateur.

                  2. Alok is a novice of this game.

        9. Avocation/Vocation

            Avocation – का अर्थ होता है “रूचि” या “आकस्मिक पेशा”

            Vocation – का अर्थ होता है, “नियमित पेशा”

            Eg.

                  1. Payal has no avocation for games and sports.

                  2. Mr. Sinha’s vocation is to teach students.

       10. Accede/Exceed

             Accede – का प्रयोग “yield” के अर्थ में किया जाता है

             Exceed – का प्रयोग “से परे” या “beyond” या “बढना” के अर्थ में किया जाता है

             Eg.

                  1. I acceded her request and gave one hundred.

                  2. She has exceeded her power.
